Let’s Conquer Mountains Together

What is a fractional CFO? How are you different?

A fractional CFO (sometimes called a virtual CFO) is a finance and business strategy partner you can trust. They act as a bridge between your accountant and bankers. They help you improve profitability, cash management, and cash flow. A great CFO can also act as a strategic advisor to improve the effectiveness of your sales and operations teams. Some fractional CFO shops spin out of accounting groups and “templatize” finance-related tasks, that approach can certainly add value, but that’s not my approach.

I believe each business has a unique set of financial challenges that we want to understand from the ground up. I pride myself on tailoring my work to the specific needs of your company. I’m here to be a long-term partner you can trust and provide the financial support you need to continue to see your business grow and thrive. I only work with a small portfolio of clients because I’m committed to doing right by my clients, and always being available when they need me. I might be a fractional CFO, but I’m fully invested in the success of your business.

How can a Fractional CFO help my business?

Founders and operators of successful small businesses are rare, and these amazing business owners have an impressive set of skills… but they aren’t always finance experts. Adding someone to your team (at a fraction of the cost of a full-time CFO) can often pay dividends quickly. I can partner with you to improve the “thorns in your side” and answer your pressing financial questions:

  • Am I profitable enough to take some money out of the business?

  • What is my business worth? Should I consider selling it?

  • Which clients are my most profitable? Which clients do I lose money on?

  • I don’t understand why my accounting says I make money when my bank account tells a different story…

  • How do I retain my top talent? Should I offer them ownership in the business?

  • How can I reduce my tax burden?

  • And… so much more!

Is it a good investment?

If your business has more than 2 million dollars in revenue annually (or is growing rapidly towards that number), it is! I’ll promise you that if we talk through the specific needs of your business and there isn’t a strong return on investment for you we won’t work together until the math makes sense (and our partnership is a true win-win).
